Client: Shauna McMullan Project: Travelling the Distance
Travelling the Distance, a sculpture to mark the contribution of Scottish women to improving the lives of women and advancing democracy, was commissioned by the Scottish Government from artist Shauna McMullan.
It takes the form of a collection of handwritten sentences by 100 women from across Scotland about their female role models which were then sculpted in porcelain.
I produced a limited edition of 100 books showing the making of the work and recording the contribution of the women involved in the piece. It was launched with an event in the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament.
